PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Consulting is interpreted by QBC Systems, Inc. as "careful listening and candid client recommendations". In consulting, knowing what not to do is as equally important as knowing what to do. For example, one would not recommend full MRP software for the jobshop who simply would like to collect labor hours against a sales order.

Spending the time "up-front" in needs assessment minimizes the amount of rework that has to be done and reduces the time required for implementation and for payback as well.

General Consulting for Manufacturers and Distributors
QBC is engaged with clients who are in the business of fabrication, assembly and distribution of either build-to-stock, assemble-to-order, build-to-order, or a combination of these three. A typical consulting engagement will include needs assessment and a recommended approach for solutions. The focus of the engagement is directed primarily at ways to improve customer service and profitability.

A summary of various services performed during a client engagement are as follows:

Consulting Services to the Accounting Professional
Many accounting professionals and public accounting firms, large and small, need to provide more than accounting to their respective client base. They need to provide some, if not all, of the services listed above. In fact, their very futures depend upon it. QBC can provide the necessary consulting support services to the clients of such firms, thus enabling the firm to be more "total service" oriented. Many such accounting firms simply do not possess the necessary manufacturing expertise to adequately meet their clients' needs. QBC has embarked upon a program which will create "partnerships" with the accounting professionals, thereby providing their clients with quality consulting services.
